Research Peptide Glossary

A concise glossary for reading Panda’s research pages, product specifications, COAs, and quality documentation.

Scope note: This page explains research documentation, analytical terms, and verification workflow only. It does not provide consumer-use, application, procedural, preparation, clinical-use, appearance-related, reproductive-outcome, non-research, or non-research-use guidance.

COA

Certificate of Analysis. A laboratory report documenting analytical findings for a submitted sample, often including identity, purity, method details, batch reference, and verification information.

HPLC

High-performance liquid chromatography. An analytical method used to separate sample components and estimate purity by peak area under a defined method.

LC-MS / MS

Liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry / mass spectrometry. Analytical methods used to support molecular identity confirmation through mass-related data.

Batch / lot

A traceability identifier connecting a product record, physical label, and COA. Batch-level documentation is more useful than generic product-level claims.

CAS number, molecular weight, and sequence

Reference identifiers used to define compound identity. CAS numbers identify substances in chemical registries; molecular weight and sequence help describe peptide composition.

Lyophilized powder

A freeze-dried presentation commonly used for research compounds. This glossary term is descriptive only and does not imply instructions for preparation, application, or non-research use.
